Our Commitment
GrantAuthority, LLC is committed to making GrantAuthority.org and the GrantAuthority software experience accessible and usable for people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of product quality, not a one-time overlay or checkbox.
Standard and Current Status
We use WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our current accessibility baseline and WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our forward-looking product target. The Services are being actively redesigned and remediated, so we describe our posture as working toward substantial WCAG AA conformance rather than claiming perfect compliance.
We test with automated checks and manual review, including keyboard navigation, screen-reader-oriented structure, form behavior, focus management, color contrast, and responsive layouts.
Accessibility Practices
Our accessibility work includes the following practices:
- Semantic page structure and headings
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls
- Visible focus states
- Form labels, instructions, and error messaging
- Color contrast review
- Responsive layouts and reflow checks
- Reduced-motion awareness where supported
- Screen-reader-oriented labels for icon controls
Known Limitations
We are aware that not every part of the current experience may fully meet our target standard at all times. Known limitations include:
- Some legacy workspace surfaces are being replaced during the current site revamp.
- Some third-party services, grantor portals, and embedded content are outside our direct control.
- User-uploaded documents, exported files, and AI-generated drafts may require additional review before they meet a grantor or organization-specific accessibility standard.
- Rapidly changing product screens may temporarily lag our preferred accessibility standard until reviewed and remediated.
Generated Documents and Grant Submissions
GrantAuthority can help draft, verify, and export grant materials, but customers are responsible for final review of exported documents and submissions. Some grantors, agencies, or organizations may impose accessibility requirements for PDFs, DOCX files, attachments, web forms, or public-facing materials. Customers should review final files for those requirements before submission.
Feedback and Alternative Formats
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need help using the Services, or need a policy, notice, document, or communication in an alternative format, please contact us. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within a reasonable time, typically within 10 business days.
Physical Locations and Events
This statement covers the GrantAuthority website and software experience. Accessibility for any in-person event, meeting, or physical location will be addressed separately based on the venue, event format, and applicable requirements.
