H.C.S.C. FOUNDATION IS A PRIVATE OPERATING FOUNDATION. THE FOUNDATION'S PURPOSE IS TO RENDER FINANCIAL AID WHERE NECESSARY TO ANY MANAGEMENT PERSON, SPOUSE, WIDOW, OR WIDOWER WHO HAS RETIRED OR RESIGNED FROM J.C. PENNEY COMPANY UNDER HONORABLE CONDITIONS. FINANCIAL AID IS ALSO AVAILABLE TO ANY J.C. PENNEY COMPANY EMPLOYEE WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: 1) MUST BE AT LEAST 60 YEARS OF AGE; 2) MUST HAVE AT LEAST 20 YEARS OF HONORABLE SERVICE.
