THE FOUNDATION IS CONCERNED WITH THE HEALTH OF TREES IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA. SOME SPECIES ARE ARE BEING ADVERSELY BY A DISEASE THAT IS NOT UNDERSTOOD. CLIMATE CHANGE MAY PLAY A ROLE IN THEIR STRUGGLE. THE FOUNDATION IS RESEARCHING POSSIBLE CAUSES AND IS WORKING WITH UNIVERSITY RESEARCHERS. THE FOUNDATION IS JUST GETTING STARTED HAVING BEEN FORMED IN DECEMBER 2023. THE TRUSTEE WAS ABLE TO ATTEND A CLIMATE CHANGE SUMMIT IN DC.
