Mission
The Peter G Colton Memorial Fund has been organized to provide scholarships for educational pursuits. The initial goal is to establish a scholarship fund at the University of Massachusetts for scholar-athletes in the Umass football program. The memorial fund may be expanded in the future to support other educational institutions. Any funds awarded will be given directly to the educational institution to grant scholarships or awards in their sole discretion. The organization is organized exclusively for charitable purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
