MAIN STREET ECONOMICS IS FORMED TO PROVIDE ECONOMIC EDUCATION FOR THE AMERICAN PUBLIC. IT IS FOCUSED ON EXPAINING TYPES OF SYSTEMS IN EASY TO UNDERSTAND LANGUAGE BY LAYMEN FOR LAYMEN WITHOUT FORMAL EDUCATION IN ECONOMICS. IT HAS DEVELOPED NON-PARTISAN VIDEOS EXPLAINING THE MAJOR TYPES OF ECONOMIC SYSTEMS AND INVITING VIEWERS TO LEARN IN MORE DETAIL FROM EXPANDED POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS ABOUT HOW AND WHY EACH TYPE OF SYSTEM WORKS. THE ORGANIZATION USES SOCIAL MEDIA AND ITS WEBSITE TO ENCOURAGE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO VIEW THE EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS.
