THE EDDIE PROJECT INITIATIVE. IN OBSERVATION OF NATIONAL PET FIRE SAFETY DAY, 2022, THE EDDIE PROJECT INITIATIVE DISTRIBUTED PET FIRE SAFETY CARDS AND WINDOW STICKERS THROUGH LOCAL VETERINARY CLINICS, PET SUPPLY STORES, AND ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDED PET OWNERS WITH PET FIRE SAFETY TOOLS AS WELL AS A WAY TO INFORM FIRST RESPONDERS OF THE PRESENCE OF PETS THAT MIGHT BE INSIDE OF A BURNING STRUCTURE. THIS TOOK PLACE ON JULY 15, AS PART OF NATIONAL PET FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS DAY, WITH PLANS TO MAKE IT AN ANNUAL EVENT.AT THE REQUEST OF THE HONOLULU FIRE DEPARTMENT, COMMUNITY KOKUA FOUNDATION PRESIDENT, PHIL RELLER, FILMED AN UPDATED PSA ON THE NEED FOR FIRE SPRINKLERS IN HIGH RISE BUILDINGS AND CONDUCTED A NUMBER OF MEDIA INTERVIEWS ON THE SAME TOPIC,
