Mission
THE MISSION OF THE NBWA IS TO GALVANIZE WOMEN OF INFLUENCE TO NURTURE OUR YOUTH, BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES AND WORK TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE ECONOMIC STABILITY FOR WOMEN AND FAMILIES. THE ORGANIZATION FOCUSES ON THREE STRATEGIC PRIORITY AREAS: (1) ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN AND FAMILIES; (2) EDUCATION/YOUTH DEVELOPMENT; AND (3) MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT.TO FUFILL THIS MISSION, THE NBWA EXECUTES SEVERAL HIGH-IMPACT INITIATIVES: * EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT: THE NBWA'S EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT BRINGS TOGETHER WOMEN OF INFLUENCE THROUGH DYNAMIC PANELS, FIRESIDE CHATS, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES TO FOSTER COLLABORATION, COMMUNITY ADVOCACY, AND PHILANTHROPY. * THE CRADLE COLLECTIVE: THE CRADLE COLLECTIVE, AN NBWA MATERNAL AND INFANT MORTALITY INITIATIVE, FOCUSES ON PROGRAMMING AND ADVOCACY DESIGNED TO ADDRESS HEALTHCARE DISPARITIES AND IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR MOTHERS AND INFANTS IN UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS. * BOOKS&BALL: BOOKS&BALL IS A YEAR-ROUND SIGNATURE PROGRAM WHERE NBWA TEAMS UP WITH
