Mission
PROGRAM ACTIVITIES RELATED TO IMPROVING MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING OF YOUNG PEOPLEHopelab continued its programmatic efforts to support the mental health and well-being of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC young people. Pivoting away from product development, Hopelab focused efforts on relationship-building, convening researchers, philanthropists, investors, and young people at an intergenerational retreat focused on improving youth mental health outcomes. In August, The Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund granted $1.8 Million in pooled funding to 26 youth-led initiatives dedicated to building a more inclusive, equitable, and accountable technology ecosystem. The Young Innovators in Behavioral Health Awards, a program created in partnership with the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute and Going Digital Behavioral Health, recognized 30 winners for their contributions to access, awareness, and advancement of digital mental health care for young people in the U.S.
