SAJSS WORKS TO MAKE LIFE BETTER FOR JEWISH OLDER ADULTS BY FOSTERING CONNECTIONS WITH BOTH THE JEWISH AND BROADER S.A. COMMUNITY AND THE RESOURCES THEY PROVIDE. STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT ISOLATION, LONELINESS, AND DEPRESSION LEAD TO ACCELERATING DECLINE IN HEALTH AND WELL-BEING FOR OLDER ADULTS. OUR PROGRAMS, KEEP OLDER ADULTS CONNECTED TO THE S.A. JEWISH COMMUNITY WHERE THEY ARE ENGAGED AND VALUED. SAJSS PROGRAMS INCLUDE TRANSPORTATION, WEEKLY CHECK-IN PHONE CALLS, WEEKLY SHABBAT AND HOLIDAY FOOD AND SPECIAL ITEM DELIVERIES, GAME ON, MUSEUM VISITS, HOLIDAY BAKING EVENTS, CAREGIVERS AND GRIEF SUPPORT GROUPS, WEEKLY E-NEWSLETTERS, MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS, INFO AND REFERRAL SERVICES.
