THE KIWANIS CLUB OF WASHINGTON, D.C. WAS FOUNDED IN 1917. IT IS ONE OF OVER 7,500 CLUBS IN KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL, A GLOBAL ORGANIZATION OF VOLUNTEERS WHO ORGANIZE ABOUT 150,000 SERVICE PROJECTS EACH YEAR TO HELP PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN, IN NEED.
