Mission
CWI WORKS, INC WAS INCORPORATED IN 1962, AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. CWI'S PRIMARY MISSION IS TO CONNECT EXPERIENCED AMERICANS WITH EMPLOYERS IN ALL 50 STATES TO ENSURE A VIBRANT, DIVERSE, AND PRODUCTIVE WORKFORCE. IN THIS REGARD, CWI INVOLVES ITSELF IN ACTIVITIES TO DETERMINE HOW EXPERIENCED WORKERS MAY BE ASSISTED, PRIMARILY THROUGH EMPLOYMENT, TOWARD A POSITIVE ROLE OF WORTHWHILE AND VALUED CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY. CWI'S PRIMARY SOURCE OF FUNDING IS THROUGH AGREEMENTS WITH VARIOUS U.S. GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS OR AGENCIES. THE CONTINUED FUNDING OF THESE AGREEMENTS IS DEPENDENT ON NATIONAL AND LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES. FOLLOWING IS A SUMMARY OF THE PRINCIPAL PROGRAMS ADMINISTERED BY CWI.
