THE FOUNDATION CREATED THE OZZIE NEWSOME SCHOLARS PROGRAM TO SUPPORT BALTIMORE CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL GRADUATES ATTENDING MARYLAND'S FOUR HBCUS. THE FOUNDATION HOSTED A LUNCHEON SUPPORTING THE OZZIE NEWSOME SCHOLARS PROGRAM WHICH BROUGHT TOGETHER STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, HBCU REPRESENTATIVES, AND COLLEGEBOUND FOUNDATION STAFF TO ENCOURAGE COHESIVENESS, FACILITATE NETWORKING AMONG THE STUDENTS, UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVES, AND INTRODUCE THE STUDENTS TO BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS.
