Mission
The mission of MedStar Health, Inc. (MedStar) is to serve our patients, those who care for them and our communities. MedStar is the controlling entity of an integrated health services organization (the System) offering a wide variety of healthcare services to residents of Maryland and the Washington, D.C. region (comprising Baltimore City, eleven counties in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and northern Virginia). MedStar Health is the regions largest health system and one of the largest employers in Maryland and Washington, D.C., with approximately 31,000 associates and approximately 6,400 affiliated physicians.
