THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS MINNESOTA, FOUNDED IN 1892, IS THE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ARCHITECTURE PROFESSION IN MINNESOTA. AS A STATE COMPONENT OF AIA NATIONAL, AIA MINNESOTA PROVIDES SERVICES TO OTHER AIA CHAPTERS LOCATED IN MINNESOTA, PRODUCES A REGIONAL CONVENTION, PUBLISHES THE AWARD-WINNING MAGAZINE ARCHITECTURE MN, LOBBIES ON BEHALF OF THE PROFESSION AT THE STATE LEGISLATURE, AND DELIVERS CONTINUING EDUCATION TO MEMBERS. MISSION: ADVANCING A VITAL PROFESSION, VIBRANT COMMUNITIES, AND ARCHITECTURE THAT ENDURES.
