THE FIU ATHLETICS CORPORATION WAS ORGANIZED TO FACILITATE THE FINANCING OF PROJECTS RELATED TO THE FIU FOOTBALL STADIUM. THE CORPORATION PROVIDES DIRECT SUPPORT IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO INITIALLY THE FINANCING OF THE FIU FOOTBALL STADIUM AND SUBSEQUENTLY MANAGING AND OPERATING OF THE FACILITY AND HAS BEEN DESIGNATED BY THE FIU BOARD OF TRUSTEES AS A UNIVERSITY DIRECT SUPPORT ORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO SECTION 1004.28 FLORIDA STATUTES.
