MISSION: TO SUPPORT PUBLIC SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIONS WITH CREATING AN ENHANCED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THROUGH FOSTERING EMPATHY AND COMPASSION AMONG THEIR STUDENTS.HIGH SCHOOL SILENT SERVANT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS: EACH YEAR THEFOUNDATION AWARDS HUNDREDS OF SCHOLARSHIPS, NATION-WIDE, TOHIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ENGAGE IN SELFLESS, VOLUNTARY SERVICE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. THE STUDENTS ARE NOMINATED FOR THE AWARD BY A SCHOOL STAFF MEMBER AND RECOGNIZED IN A SCHOOL CEREMONY. UNLIKE SCHOLARSHIPS THAT RECOGNIZE ATHLETIC OR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS, THE SILENT SERVANT SCHOLARSHIP HONORS STUDENTS FOR BENEVOLENCE. THE PRESENTATION OF THE AWARD, COMBINED WITH THE TESTIMONY OF THE RECIPIENT, OFFERS A TEACHABLE MOMENT FOR THEIR STUDENT-PEERS TO EMBRACE THEIR EMPATHETIC AND COMPASSIONATE EXAMPLE.
