TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN MARATHONING INCLUDING THE ORGANIZATION AND CONDUCTING OF MARATHON EVENTS WHICH WOULD BE OF A COMPETITIVE NATURE, TO GIVE AND PROMOTE ENTERTAINMENT, LECTURES, SOCIAL AFFAIRS, AWARD CEREMONIES, EXHIBITIONS, RACES AND FUN RUNS; TO PROMOTE PARTICIPATION IN CIVIC EVENTS AND ISSUE GENERAL INFORMATION BULLETINS RELATING TO SAID ACTIVITIES. TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE BETTER UNDERSTANDING AMONG THE MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC AS TO THE RELATED HEALTH BENEFITS AND COMPETITIVE ASPECTS OF MARATHONING.
