THE PURPOSES OF THE TEAM ARE: TO ENCOURAGE THE INSTRUCTION, PRACTICE AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE MEMBERS IN ANY OR ALL OF THE DISCIPLINES OF SYNCHRONIZED SKATING; TO ENCOURAGE AND CULTIVATE A SPIRIT OF TEAMWORK AMONG ICE SKATERS, THE ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION CONCERNING THE DISCIPLINE OF SYNCHRONIZED SKATING, TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR SYNCHRONIZED SKATING COMPETITIONS AND TO DEVELOP AMATEUR ATHLETES FOR SUCH COMPETITIONS; AND TO CARRY OUT THE GENERAL POLICIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE UNITED STATES FIGURE SKATING ASSOCIATION.
